Whole Grain Toast Triangles with Hummus

This delicious hummus recipe uses on-hand ingredients to make a delicious dip in just 15 minutes...and it gets even better when served with toasted Whole Grain or 100% Whole Wheat bread triangles.

  • 1 tablespoon(s) sesame seed
  • 1 can(s) (about 15 ounces) chickpeas (garbanzo beans), rinsed and drained
  • 2 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
  • 2 clove(s) garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup(s) water
  • 8 slice(s) Wonder® Bread for Life – Whole Grain OR 100% Whole Whea

Whole Grain Toast Triangles with Hummus Directions

    1. Heat an 8-inch non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the sesame seeds. Cook and stir for 1 minute or until they're toasted. Remove the skillet from the heat.
    2. Place the chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic and sesame seeds into a food processor.  Cover and process until the mixture is smooth, adding the water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency.
    3. Cut the bread slices into triangles. Serve with the hummus.
